Nicknamed the GERMAICA VIKINGZ by us JODDSKI, JAN STEEZY and DRAHPAA are RAGGABALDER RIDDIM REBELS, the Dancehall Soundsystem started by JODDSKI and STEEZY in 2001, out of frustration over Oslos lack of Dancehall clubs. JODDSKI is credited with making the Norwegian language credible for rapping in, and the 2 of them have toured Norway since 2000, up to 2007 with POPPA LARS, making up legendary hiphop band TUNGTVANN. Included JODDSKIs current solo career we are at sometething like 6 albums, 4 eps and countles mixtapes, singles and colloborations.

RAGGABALDER have since 2001 shared stage with everyone from BEENIE MAN to LEE “SCRATCH” PERRY, played all over Europe, won the Oslo club award, held regular clubs all over Norway and dropped a handful of mixtapes. RAGGABALDER favor cutting edge Dancehall over Rastafari and Rub-a-Dub – though playing those styles when in the mood. This time around they include Grime and Hip Hop as well in their selection. RAGGABALDER take their genre deadly serious, but unpretentious, and are known for creative and unexpected Dubplates and Bashment Vibes, as well as putting their Hip Hop background to full use.

Today sees their return from the hiatus they started in 2009. A break they have used to DJ seperately, explored other genres as well as touring and releasing albums with JODDSKIs solo act. “Blå” has held quite a few classic RAGGABALDER sessions, so the Oslo club is a no-brainer as far as where the comeback will be held. Euphoric through the whole comeback, JODDSKI has compiled and mixed 2 Mixtapes with a total of 2 hrs 45 min of his favourite Dancehall, Reggae, Rap and Grime tunes from 2011. Everything done in classic RAGGABALDER fashion. He presents world premieres from WARD 21 and GENERAL DEGREE, as well as a combination from JODDSKI himself and SIRKUS ELIASSEN on the infectious “Yu Go! Riddim”, built by Swedish Bosnian EMIR “YOUTHMAN” KOBILIC, and released by GERMAICA DIGITAL. Dubplates/Exclusives from Norwegian rappers JAA9 & ONKL P, PUMBA & DON MARTIN, SON OF LIGHT, GIRSON and PETE (VÅGSBYGD HANDY) as well as, MR. EVIL,  LOYAL FLAMES, STYLO G, MILLION STYLEZ and SANJIN & YOUTHMAN.

RHYTHM & FLOW our Bredrinos from Barcelona are once more in the process of bringing a Jamaiacan Artiste to Europe. And once again DJ FLO of UPLIFTMENT INT’L provided a fine Artiste Mix to display the talent of a young crooner: NICKY B.

“Kingston’s Finest” contains Songs and Dubs as well as some great features with big names such as: Snoop Dogg, Beenie Man, Agent Sasco or Cécile. NICKY B has developed his own sound called R&D (Rhythm & Dancehall). It’s a hybrid between the Jamaican sounds of Reggae and Dancehall and American Pop and R&B. Artists such as R. Kelly, Marvin Gaye and Craig David stand out in his list of musical influences.

SHABU, artista de GERMAICA IBERIA y RHYTHM AND FLOW, ha recientemente colaborado junto al rapero también malagüeño JUHO, en el videoclip “Hot Sun” aportando otro tremendo estribillo dedicado al verano andaluz. Dicho single, una producción de DJ PERA, forma parte del ultimo trabajo promocional de JUHO “Soldier, editado por KIWI RECORDS. Bajo la dirección de GHARUDA y KIWI RECORDS, este video esta pegando duro en Youtube con la friolera cifra de mas de 50.000 visitas en tan solo 3 días, demostrando otra vez el feedback que SHABU esta recibiendo por parte de sus fans después de la exitosa salida de su split album “Compartiendo” junto a su compañero de viaje LITTLE PEPE. SHABU esta actualmente trabajando en su debut album, así como en la salida de su próximo single previsto para otoño. GERMAICA IBERIA/RHYTHM & FLOW Artiste SHABU is featured in the brand new video and single “Hot Sun” of Malagüeñian rapper JUHO providing a “Highly” inspired hook for this celebration of the Andalucían summer. The song is part of JUHOs street album “Soldier” released earlier this year on KIWI RECORDS and the instrumental was produced by DJ PERA. The GHARUDA/KIWI RECORDS directed video is hitting hard on youtube.com and generated +50.000 plays within just 3 days and for sure is once again putting SHABU in the limelight after the success of his well received split album “Compartiendo” with comrade LITTLE PEPE. Nach zwei Jahren und zwanzig Shows, war es ein Ausstand nach Maß… Zuerst das mittelgermaikanische Soundtreffen mit 6 Gastsounds und -selectoren und anschließend das dritte “Fly High! Xtra!!” mit dem Jamaican Top Artiste KONSHENS… Nachdem sich die UPLIFTMENT INT’L Crew mit diesen außerordentlichen Shows aus der zweiten “Fly High!” Saison verabschiedet hat, laufen die Planungen für die dritte bereits auf vollen Touren und es stehen einige Neuerungen an…

Mit dem liebevoll “Kartoffelkeller” genannten “Frühauf” verabschiedet man sich von der Undergroundlocation der ersten zwei Jahre und zieht in die nagelneue “Halle D” des “Werk II” in Connewitz um. Aber auch inhaltlich stehen die Zeichen auf Veränderung, hat doch die Publikumsresonanz, besonders auf DJ FLOs letzten Mix “Skydiving” gezeigt, daß Leipzig musikalischer Vielfalt positiv gegenüber steht.

Und so wird das bekannte “Fly High!”-Programm über Dancehall, Reggae, Hip Hop & R’n'B hinaus von nun an noch globaler. Die gesamte Bandbreite der Urban Bass Music soll es von nun an in der “Halle D” geben, und mit Hilfe monatlicher Specials präsentiert werden.

Er wird die momentan angesagten Tracks in Sachen “Tropical” an den Start bringen. Als ehemaliger Chefselector des Schwergewichtssound SOUND QUAKE bürgt er für Mixing Skills der Xtra-Klasse. “IT’S YOURS” Begründer BOOGA wird mit einem Mix aus Bassline, Fidget und UK Funky antreten, mit dem er diverse Leipziger Partyreihen wie “Rave Royal”, oder “Pasha’s Pleasure” rockt.
