Ras Luta and Pionear started working together exactly 15 years ago in February 2005, when recording for Poland’s first ever Reggae & Dancehall compilation “Polski ogień”, released by Warner Music Polska the following year. Followed by productions for Luta’s band project “EastWest Rockers” and his first solo effort “Jeśli​ ​Słyszysz” the both coming full circle now with an entirely custom made album played by Pionear’s studio band The Germaicans. You might ask why a Reggae album now? Because it’s not so much about trends and number of streams, but rather about two stubborn musical friends paying tribute to “their” music!

The release’s lyrics shed light on observations and experiences made by Ras Luta when looking at his musical career and general life. Thus the overall impetus is that of a “grown up” classic Reggae album. The title track “Lepsze dni” , “Masz w sobie siłę ft. Junior Stress”, “Dom w chmurach” all are vivid testament to Luta’s love for Roots Reggae and prove his excellent songwriting. Still the album holds surprises, with trappy “Zimny kamień” and of course the niyahbinghi-r’n’b-power-ballad-hybrid “Szadrach, Meszach & Abednego” and it’s unique ‘spiritual’ feel. 

The previously released singles “Stop”, “Rozdarty” carrying more of a pop song structure. The third single “Mój ogień” and “Jak na początku” are both relicks of Jamaican classic riddims. In case you wondered if there is an “off” track you should definitely check out the Two-Tone-Ska stomper “Szarzy ludzie”. Finally “Prosty rim” is not only a hommage to the glorious 90s in Dancehall music but also the new single which heralds the album release on February 21st 2020!

To seal what will be probably the most important Polish Reggae release of the year mastering was provided by platinum certified Sascha “Busy” Bühren (Peter Fox, Seeed) from Berlin / Germany.

„Balkan Dancehall“ takin‘ over“ was the slogan, the prediction and the promise we made one year ago, when the original „Yu Go! Riddim“ album was released. Today, 7 singles, 5 videos, +40 official  and about 60 nonofficial cuts later EMIR „YOUTHMAN“ KOBILICs debut Riddim turned into a kind of „Sleng Teng Riddim“ of the new millenium and made it’s way once around the world.

We choose Artistes from 3 continents and 10 countries for the „Yu Go! World Wide Riddim“ album including 4 performers from the motherland of Dancehall Jamaica: The already single released GENERAL DEGREE and HAWKEYE long time label affiliates WARD 21 and comedian SANI SHOWBIZZ.

Furthermore we feature one artiste each from our sub-divisions GERMAICA AUSTRIA (THAI STYLEE), GERMAICA IBERIA (ZURI), GERMAICA JAPAN (ARARE), GERMAICA LATINA (DADDY BANTON), GERMAICA POLSKA (SZTOSS) and the GERMAICA VIKINGZ (JODDSKI & SIRKUS ELIASSEN). This one is the first official Riddim release on our newest European sub division GERMAICA POLSKA, which is a co-operation with the most active and successful Polish Dancehall Kru DANCEHALL MASAK-RAH from Warsaw. 27PABLO, DRIVAH, JUNIOR STRESS & MOTHASHIPP run the baddes‘ weekly regular Dance in Eastern Europe and as well host a radio show on national radio „Czwórka“ every Saturday at 02:00pm. It was also there where the YU GO! RIDDIM was premiered for Poland… And from this very moment Poland loved it and gave it an overwhelming feedback. This being said it was more than logic to issue a local leg of the riddim…

And here YU go! Besides the teaser song NADSZIEDŁ JUŻ CZAS from BAS TAJPAN & BOB ONE – anchor single for their „Protest 2012“ EP and tour – and the first official single NIC NA SIŁE from SZTOSS five more tunes were voiced on the YU GO! POLSKA. The „Dancehall Masak-Rah“ Kru delivers the next two tunes: JUNIOR STRESS introduces his new „evil“ alter ego YUREK DRES and the kraziest tune of the selection NIE MAM CZASU by 27PABLO & MOTHASHIPP shows what happens when PIONIR from „Zachodnia Polska“ pressures his partners in Warsaw to step pon di riddim and everybody say: „But I’m to exhausted and don’t even have the time to write lyrics…“ – the translation of NIE MAM CZASU is „I don’t have time“.

Six years ago PIONEAR started to work in Poland and in a joint venture with SILVER DREAD from veteran sound LOVE SENSI MUSIC from Lublin the critically acclaimed album POLSKI OGIEN was produced. Some even say it was the real starting point for Polish Dancehall, but for sure it was the first album of the genre on a major label – Warner Music Poland – and introduced a lot of the Artistes to a wider audience that „run PL“ today…

BOMBOKLAATÓWKA was „invented“ as an imaginary drink at the incredible release party for the QUESTION? RIDDIM at „Dancehall Masak-Rah“ – the best Dance in Eastern Europe. When PIONEAR premiering POLISH VODKA telling the people to get some „Żubrówka“, „Wyborowa“, „Wisniówka“,  Cytrnówka and … get some „Bloodklaatówka“… A verbal forward turned into the idea by MALIK from SINGLE DREAD SOUND (Węgorzewo/Mazury) to do a song… And here we go with the recipe for the drink that „make your brain melt“. With the EMIR „YOUTHMAN“ KOBILIC Riddim YU GO! turning into a world wide affair we’d like to introduce to you a country that over the last years developed a strong Dancehall movement regarding Sounds and also Artistes performing in their native language.

This being said we’re proud to announce the first official YU GO! single from Poland. It is featuring a young SingJay by the name of SZTOSS, who undoubtly has great songwriting talent and  a superb delivery. SZTOSS was born into a musical family in Lublin/Poland in 1991. In 2009 he started working seriously as a vocalist and song writer on his solo project. Since 2010 he’s supporting his brother TALLIB as a hypeman at concerts. His first solo project – an EP called „Rozgrzewka“ – was released in 2011 and this EP was given to GERMAICA boss PIONEAR at the annual „Ostróda Reggae Festiwal“ and he immediately saw the great potential of this young Artiste…

Now just half a year later SZTOSS‘ debut on GERMAICA is finished… The single „Nic na siłe“ is also the first shot on the forthcoming YU GO POLSKA! At a show at Rynek Głowny (Main Square) of Lower Silesian capital Wrocław which was televised by Polish National stastion TVP2 the „Trio Culinare“ performed infront of 60.000 people alongside more Artists like VAVAMUFFIN or DUB PISTOLS . RAS LUTA to wokalista, aranżer i autor tekstów związany ze sceną Reggae. Zaczynał w 2004 roku od współpracy z lokalnymi zespołami Reggae i soundsystemami w Toruniu. Jego pierwsze profesjonalne nagrania ukazały się na albumie producenckim Marka „MMF” Bogdańskiego, lidera łódzkiego DREADSQUADu. Później dołączył do grupy EASTWEST ROCKERS, z którą nagrał dwa studyjne albumy oraz wiele nieoficjalnych materiałów dostępnych głównie w sieci.

RAS LUTA współpracował z wieloma znanymi artystami Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop i nie tylko: Bob1, Junior Stress, Mista Pita, Grubson, Miodu (Jamal), DJ Feel-X, DJ Bart, Hemp Gru, Fu, Fatum Crew, Sidney Polak, Marika, Maleo Reggae Rockers, Ruff Radics i inni. Wsytępował na niemal wszystkich największych cyklicznych imprezach i festiwalach organizowanych w Polsce (Heineken Open Air, Coke Live, Ostróda Reggae, Bielawa Reggae).

Ras Luta jako jeden z wokalistów EastWest Rockers śpiewa na ich ostatniej, świetnie przyjętej płycie „Jedyna broń”. Po premierze zespół zagrał kilkadziesiąt koncertów w całym kraju. Solowy album zawiera 14 utworów. Tekstowo nawiązuje do kultury rasta. Za produkcję nagrań i miks tej płyty odpowiada Pionear – Niemiec znany u nas z produkcji składanki „Polski ogień”. Gościnnie na płycie pojawiają się Rahim i Fokus, Hemp Gru, Blasku z Fatum Crew oraz Mrozu (zarówno jako producent, jak też wokalista). Riddimy pochodzą od House of Riddim, EMZK, Dubby Conquerors, Lockdown Productions, Mista Pita & Radical Irie oraz Justin “JusBus” Nation.

Ras Luta wydał swój pierwszy solo album „Jeśli słyszysz“ w Prosto, jednej z największych hiphopowych wytórni w Polsce. Drugim singlem promującym album będzie kawałek „Chodź“ z gościnnym udziałem rapera Blasku z wrocławskiego Fatum Crew. Riddim wyprodukował Pionear, który jest też głównym producentem albumu.

Gdy płyta „Jeśli słyszysz“ znalazła się w zestawieniu najlepiej sprzedających się płyt w Polsce, dla Pioneara był to drugi wyprodukowany przez niego album, który znalazł się na w rankingu Olisu (Top 30). Dowodzi to niezwykle mocnej pozycji tego producenta na polskiej scenie reggae.

RAS LUTA – one of three vocalists of the notorious EASTWEST ROCKERS from Wroclaw – released his first solo album “Jesli słyszysz” which means “If you can hear”. Executive producer of the album is PIONEAR for GERMAICA DIGITAL. PIONEAR is known in Poland for releasing the first ever Reggae compilation on a major label called „Polski ogień” on Warner Music Poland…

RAS LUTA is a vocalist, arranger and author of lyrics. He started in 2004 cooperating with local Reggae groups and soundsystems in Toruń. His first professional recordings appeared on the producer album of Marek „MMF” Bogdański, leader of Dreadsquad from Łódź. Later on he has joined the EASTWEST ROCKERS group, with whom he recorded two studio albums and many unofficial material available through the internet.

RAS LUTA has cooperated with many well-known Polish Reggae, Dancehall and Hip Hop artistes like: Bob1, Junior Stress, Mista Pita, Grubson, Miodu (Jamal), DJ Feel-X, DJ Bart, Hemp Gru, Fu, Fatum Crew, Sidney Polak, Marika, Maleo Reggae Rockers, Ruff Radics and others. He performed on every big festival in Poland (Heineken Open’er, Coke Live, Ostróda Reggae, Bielawa Reggae).

Now RAS LUTA has released his first solo album „Jesli Slyszysz“ through reknowned Polish Hip Hop label PROSTO. 2nd single from the album is „Chodz“ a song who features Rapper BLASKU of the Silesian FATUM CREW. The instrumental is provided by album executive producer PIONEAR – You can check the video for „Chodz“ in the GERMAICA Tube section… With „Jesli Slyszysz“ entering the Polish mainstream charts Pionear scores his second Top 30 album in a row in Poland – proving once more his outstanding status in Polish Reggae…“

Wenn die erste Show der neuen Saison genau so brennt, wie der grandiose Austand des ersten FLY HIGH! Jahres, solltet ihr nicht lange überlegen, wo ihr am Sonnabend den 12.09. 2009 hingeht… Ins Frühauf, in Leipzigs Zentrum-Südost! Selbst die kühnsten Prognosen wurden übertroffen als bei REGGAE UNTER DEN EICHEN, der offiziellen FLY HIGH! Sommerausgabe, 400 Gäste gezählt wurden. Das ist nicht nur lokal gesehen eine seit gefühlten Ewigkeiten unerreichte Zahl, sondern kann sich durchaus auch republikweit sehen lassen, wenn man bedenkt, daß z.B. beim nur kurze Zeit später stattfindenden Dhm Link Up – dem Jahrestreffen aller deutschsprachigen Dancehallfans – 300 Besucher gezählt wurden. Solch einen würdigen Abschluß des ersten Jahres, hat sich UPLIFTMENT INT’L redlich verdient, war doch jeder der 10 Dances eine ausgelassene Feier, und wurde mit Artistes aus Polen, Norwegen, Spanien, Ex-Jugoslawien, Rußland, Dänemark und Costa Rica eine immense Internationalität geboten.

Nun ist es an der Zeit die neue Saison zu eröffnen und den ersten Jahrestag zu begehen. Die UPLIFTMENT Cru lädt zur 11. Ausgabe ihres Dances, der ab sofort jeden zweiten Sonnabend im Monat stattfindet. Livegast wird LUTA aus dem schlesischen Wroclaw sein. Der Sänger von Polens beliebtestem Dancehall-Act EASTWEST ROCKERS, hat in den letzten zwölf Monaten in „Lipsk“, wie er die GERMAICA-Capitale nennt, gemeinsam mit Produzent PIONEAR sein erstes Soloalbum aufgenommen. Dieses Album wird an diesem Abend seine Livepremiere erleben.

Wie man weiterhin munkelt, wird dem UPLIFTMENT ULTRAS Mob, am 12.09. das unabdingbare Accessoir einer wahren Fangemeinschaft feierlich überreicht werden. Dies geschieht übrigens mit freundlicher Unterstützung der RANKS BAR, die nach zähen Verhandlungen, auch für 2009/2010 wieder für die gastronomische Betreuung der Gäste gewonnen werden konnte. Somit ist alles angerichtet, damit es endlich wieder auf der Frühauf-Rollbahn heißen kann: „Fasten your seat belts and get ready for take off…
