For more than a decade SOUTH RAKKAS CREW has been at the forefront of the fusion of worldwide sounds at the heart of the Global Bass movement. “Bang Bang Woo!” takes this fusion to the next level creating a blistering track that fuses the powers of NOLA Bounce, Moombahton and Dancehall into a concentrated beam of energy that will raise any party to the next level. It’s not that playtime is over, it’s that it just got a shot of nitrous on the highway to debauchery.

It’s a first taste of the “Marcy Who?” EP dropping in the next few months – a project centered around Jamaican vocalist MARCY CHIN. With SOUTH RAKKAS producer D-RAKKAS, new corners of Global Bass music are uncovered. Both artists bring their familiarity of diverse genres to create music that is at once uncategorizable yet unmistakably Jamaican.

The unique sound of their collaboration is due in no small part to how they came together. The project got underway without them initially meeting or even speaking with each other. The label GERMAICA DIGITAL approached D-RAKKAS to produce the project, telling him of the artist within the BADA BADA GANG – camp of Dancehall’s legendary group WARD 21. MARCY CHIN wanted something different. Not necessarily knowing what this meant, he started sending his beats through group member KUNLEY WARD (Kunley McCarthy) figuring most would be rejected. To his surprise, they started recording and sending stuff back. Without any communication they had found common ground. When they finally spoke on the phone it was a confirmation of a great creative partnership.

The fruits of this partnership will be available to all July 1st with the release of the “Bang Bang Woo!” single. Be on the lookout for a remix package, video and tour later this year.

MARCY CHIN – member of WARD 21’s BADA BADA GANG – this passed summer made a lasting impression on the European massive on Part II of WARD 21’s “Still Disturbed Tour” on festivals and clubs alike. Showing her talent and skills MARCY met DJ WICKED-A a young and promising Selector from Italy, who is – together with DJ MAD KID – the resident of Bologna’s renowned Dancehall & Reggae regular “Downton Bash”.

The idea of a joint mixtape was born, when MARCY CHIN was listening to a set of DJ WICKED-A before the “Still Disturbed” show in Catanzaro. WICKED-A’s class A juggling plus MARCY CHIN’s hardcore rhymes plus collaborations with the likes of TIMBERLEE and WARD 21 make “The Baddest MC” a very entertaining mix from the first to the last minute.

After almost 15 years of label history and global smashs like the “Doctor’s Darling” and the “Cure” Riddim, and TANYA STEPHENS monster hit “It’s A Pity” or T.O.K.s “Shining Star”, today we release the 20th GERMAICA Riddim!

For the “Xleration Riddim” Leipzig based Dancehall Soundsystem UPLIFTMENT INT’L and upcoming producer TINY DAWSON joint forces to deliver a firmly Reggae rooted Instrumental which as well easily bridges the gap to nowadays sound aesthetics and arrangements.

Label chief PIONEAR digged deep in the label vaults and came back with a 2003 VYBZ KARTELL called “Marihuana Gone To Bed” to contribute to this jubilee release. AGENT SASCO sounds really “Michael Jackson-ish” on his “Universal Language (Love)” while the pre release single “High Grade” is another Ganja anthem by Dancehall Veteran MR. G aka GOOFY alongside Jamaican newcomer VERSHON and Ugandan Superstar BOBI WINE. The last song represents the growing European Dancehall fraternity with Bosno-Suedes SANJIN & YOUTHMAN and their entertaining “For A While” which is as well part of their debut EP “Balkan Dancehall (GERMAICA DIGITAL).

Here is the official video for “Mic Magician” – the first single from the upcoming WARD 21 album “Still Disturbed”. The clip was shot at SHAGGYs “Big Yard” studio.

The song Is very well received world wide – creating waves in New York’s Eastvillage Radio on Sveriges Radio Stockholm or London’s BBC Radio 1 already – and getting strong support from the international soundsystem fraternity.

WARD 21 recently officially launched their new Artiste camp the BADA BADA GANG. Two “BBG” members are featured on “Mic Magician” singer/rapper MARCY CHIN and rapper/deejay DEEWUNN. Based on the ever fresh “Heavenless” Riddim “Mic Magician” features a sample of the “Original Don Dada” SUPER CAT making it both a statement and an instant Dancehall favourite.

Dancehall’s MAD FAMBILI is back in full effect. In their 15th year Waterhouse’ most notorius – WARD 21 – announces a brand new album in co-operation with European Dancehall Outlet GERMAICA DIGITAL. “Still Disturbed” will be a strong musical and lyrical statement and a fine showcase of the creativity and freshness of WARD 21. The album release is set for Jan22 2014 and is followed by a full size tour of Europe to kick off one week later.

First single from the new album is “Mic Magician” – a hommage to the heydays of Dancehall and in a way setting the vibe for the 15-track-joint to follow. It as well introduces BADA BADA GANG members MARCY CHIN & DEEWUNN. “Mic Magician” will be released digitally on November 27.
