Food for themselves to perform good, food for their audience to feel good and food for each and everybody to live good. Plus they’re on a mission to convince the world of Balkan specialities and so this one is dedicated to all Burek fans all over the world! Burek (Turk.: Börek) is a pastry made of a thin flaky dough – the yufka – filled with cheese, minced meat, or vegetables and one of the essentials of the Balkan cuisine. Once there is Burek in the house you don’t have to worry about anything… “Don’t Worry Eat Burek” is the follow up single to “Fatima (Miss Fatty Balkan Cover” the most successful LAS BALKANIERAS single to date.

The instrumental was provided by BRUCE MISSILE. The German Nu Funk, Ghetto Funk and Breaks Artiste is known for his wicked Hip Hop-Reggae Mash Ups. Started only 1 1/2 years ago the DJ and Re-Rubber quickly became a favourite on Spinforth’s Soundcloud Scour on the reknowned Ghettofunk label site. He also has appeared countless times in the Nu Funk Round Up and recently was featured as final tune of  the month long relaunch campaign of the Free Breaks blog. “Don’t Worry Eat Burek” is BRUCE MISSILEs first official production and release ever.

Performed on the original 2006 instrumental this one should YUnite the Balkan diaspora as well as the real Dancehall fanatics.

FATIMA is the typical Balkan-Village-Bizniz-Woman. FATIMA does everything by herself. She has a lot of kidz, is very strong, very pretty, and of course makes the best Burek all around. Три прекрасные девушки из России, Хорватии и Боснии встретились в Дюссельдорфе, поняли, что они могут «делать хиты, петь, танцевать, готовить, стирать и мыть полы», решили попробовать реализовать все эти свои способности. Для этого они подружились с известным дансхолл-продюсером по имени PIONIR и быстро записали несколько треков и клипов; а также выступили с импровизированным концертом на большом фестивале в Хорватии, после чего стали там дико популярны. Осенью у них выходит первый альбом под названием Food Love Music. It was a busy summer for the three “Queens of Balkan Dancehall”. First they participated in the “senior” category of the reknowned “Split” festival and since then their festival song “Marin” is getting a very positive feedback on all media in Croatia. Then it was an extensive press and promotion campaign for the release of their debut album “Food Love Music” for Croatia and Ex-Yugoslavia, currently holding the No.38 position on the Croatia Album Charts. “Moje plave oči” the first single of the album is still rising on the single charts and at the moment ranked no.11… Finally LAS BALKANIERAS were invited to Croatia’s biggest Reggae & Dub festival “Seasplash” in Pula on the Istria peninsula where they delivered a fine show which was well received by the audience.

Now it’s the first European approach for the group with the new single “What’s cooking?” introducing LAS BALKANIERAS as “Trio Culinare” to the European audience. Lidija, Maja i Iva, članice tria Las Balkanieras, nisu dugo čekale na svoj album prvijenac. Nakon samo godinu rada otkako su se odlučile na zajednički projekt izašao je njihov debitantski album Food Love Music.
Njihovu glazbu teško je definirati jednom rječju jer se radi o spoju različitih stilova koje same opisuju kao turbo-trash-electro-folk-pop sa začinom reggae-a, ska i melosa. No, upravo ih ova različitost dovodi do tako potrebne originalnosti kojom su brzo osvojile simpatije publike. Veseli trio prvi put je nastupio na prošlogodišnjem Splitskom festivalu s pjesmom Ćiribirbela za koju su osvojile nagradu kao najbolje debitantice. Ove će godine nastupiti s pjesmom Marin i predstaviti svoj prvi album. LAS BALKANIERAS su tri mlade šinjorine, talentirano-motivirane u svakom muzičkom, kao i kuhinjskom pogledu i stilu. Uživaju u kuhanju, izmjeni recepata kao i u muzici, a prava delikatesa im je biti na bini, plesati, pjevati, skakati, zabavljati publiku na njihov “mediteran-balkanjero-đir”, sa dodatkom parodije i crnog humora.

Verzije pjesama postoje na četiri jezika: njemački, engleski, hrvatsko-dalmatinsko-bosanski, pa čak i ruski. Šta znači da se balkanjerosice dobro snalaze po mediteranskom-balkanskom terenu, kao i po “bilome svitu“. Njihov moto je: „sve se može globazirat, sve je import-export baza“. Svugdje se osjećaju kao kod kuće jer su “globalni import-export muzičari”…

Njihova muzika je jedna velika “bevanda”, tj. mix Turbo-Trash-Electro-Folk-Pop-a sa začinom reggae, ska i melosa, mada im ni moderniji ritmovi elektronske produkcije nisu strani. Radile su marljivo na svom prvom albumu, pripremale ga po najboljim receptima i začinima kao najsvečanije jelo, što je nedavno rezultiralo potpisivanjem ugovora sa CROATIA RECORDS, pa će uskoro biti serviran na velikom svečanom pladnju, za mediteransko-balkansko područje, i naravno za Europu. Prvi singl/spot “Moje plave oči” je nedavno objavljen, i kampanja je započela. Cure se također pojavljuju u programu nadolazećeg 8. Seasplash festivala (čet, 22.07. @ Mainsplash stage).

Das multinationale Damentrio mit Residenz in Düsseldorf, wird mittlerweile als heißester Newcomer auf dem Balkan gehandelt, hat es doch gerade einen Majordeal bei CROATIA RECORDS – dem ehemaligen JUGOTON – eintüten können. Dies ist ein Novum für einen Act mit Dancehall Background in Ex-Jugoslawien. Und so setzt die lokale Szene große Hoffnungen in LAS BALKANIERAS…

Alles begann mit dem Überraschungssieg 2009 auf dem renommierten “Split-Festival” in der Newcomer-Kategorie… Dies gelang mit ihrem ersten überhaupt aufgenommen Song “Ciribiribella” auf dem GERMAICA-Klassiker-Riddim “Messer Banzani”. Jetzt geht es auf Tour durch Kroatien, Bosnien & Herzegowina und Slowenien, ihr Album ist fertig und wird für den Frühsommer erwartet. GERMAICAs najmlađe otkriće, LAS BALKANIERAS, upravo su potpisale ugovor za njihov prvi album koji će izaći na ljeto 2010. To je dalamtinsko-bosanski-ruski trio, koji svojom orginalno miješavinom, muzičkom bevandom “Balkan Trash Popa”, kako ga cure rado nazivaju, nešto između Dancehalla-Reggae-Dubstepa ili Ska sa velikom porcijom Balkan sounda, okupiraju i bombadiraju, na pozitivan način, sve vrste bina bivše Juge, tj. Balkana kao u isto vrijeme i Evropu, na taj njihov parodičan humoristički način. Dobile su već sada ime, najorginalnijeg newcomer benda Hrvastke, jer su sa svojim prvim nastupom na Splitskom festivalu, neočekivano dobile nagradu za najbolje debitantice. Poslije toga su slijedili “Tribute to DINO DVORNIK“, a i ostali veći koncerti, na kojima su bili i više od 2000 ljudi…

Kao i manji klubski eventi, fešte, gage, jer LAS BALKANIERosicama nije vazno gdje se nastupa, glavno je da ih ljudi prihvaćaju takve kakve su i zabavljaju se njihovim neobičnim orginalnim nastupima i muzikom. Osim toga, kao i na Mediteranskom-Balkanu, cure su jako dobro prihvaćene i u bijelome svijetu, kako oni nazivaju Evropu. Za novu 2010 bile su gosti u Parizu, a u Austriji, Njemačkoj, su također česti gosti.

Za njihov prvi album su se njihov team GERMAICA BALKANs i DANIJELA DVORNIK, dogovorili za suradnju sa CROATIA RECORDS, bivši JUGOTON, jer su imali, po njihovom mišljenju, najvise kapaciteta za takav jedan projekt kao šta su LAS BALKANIERAS. JUGOTON je jedan od najstarijih i najvećih izdavačkih kuća bivše Jugoslavije.

MOJE PLAVE OčI, je prvi singel sa kojim ce izaći, već ovoga proljeća,a uz to postoje verzije na njemačkom kao i na pitčin-balkan-engleskom, kao i također tri verzije spota. Za promociju tog spota, organizirana je jedna mini- turneja, u četvrtom mijesecu, koja ce LBS `provozati` kroz Sloveniju, Hrvatsku kao Bosnu i Hercegovinu.

Postoji još jedna stvar, jedan argument, koji LAS BALKANIERAS veoma rado isitiču, a to je nada lokalnih izvođača scene u posao Balkanierosica jer su prvi bend kod CROATIA RECORDS kod kojeg su korjeni u balkanskom Reggae-Dancehall-u. Naravno da će ih se ovoga ljeta moći vidjeti i na Reggae “Seasplash” festivalu u Puli, najvećem Reggae Festivalu na Jadranu.

Rekordwinter in Greifswald. Der Deutsche Wetterdienst meldete um 13 Uhr eine Schneehöhe von 48 cm und damit die höchste Schneedecke seit dem 24. Februar 1979. Damals hatte der zur Legende gewordene Winter Ost- und Westdeutschland fest im Griff.

Via Twitter informieren verschiedene Leute aus Greifswald, dass die Supermärkte menschenleer seien. Viele Bilder werden veröffentlicht und die Leute scheinen die aufgezwungene Langsamkeit zu genießen. Die Autobahnen sind inzwischen gesperrt, der öffentliche Nahverkehr wurde eingestellt, die Züge fahren auch nicht mehr nach Greifswald. Einen Überblick der Wetterimpressionen bietet Bloggerkollege daburna an, von dem auch das obige Bild stammt.

Auch die heute angedachte Auftaktveranstaltung der Quarks-Gedenkwoche fällt dem Schneechaos zum Opfer. LAS BALKANIERAS können Greifswald nicht erreichen. Mit im Auto der drei Sängerinnen hätte PIONEAR gesessen. Der Dancehall-Produzent blieb schon vor zehn Jahren auf dem Weg zu einer Quarks-Party im Schnee stecken. So wiederholt sich Geschichte…

Das Konzert wird in genau einer Woche, also am 6. Februar, nachgeholt werden!

Gegründet im November 2002, ist das Soundsystem UPLIFTMENT INTERNATIONAL rasch zur führenden Größe der Leipziger Dancehall-Szene avanciert. Naše poznate “Turbo-Trash-Pop” dame LAS BALKANIERAS, su ovoga ljeta na obali adrije snimili, kao i uvijek brzinom groma, njihov treći spot njihove Dubstep cover pijesme, “Kalinka”. I naravno kao i uvijek su se igrale elmentima balkanskog mediterana, samo ovoga puta na jedan malo drugačiji način, na jedan gusarsko-Elektro-Trash način. Priča grčkih mitologija o sirenama koje su pjesmom privlačile i mamile mornare a potom ih uništavale, isto tako je remixovan, dok je poanta ostala kao i uvijek stara, igra između muškarca i žene, igra LAS BALKANIERAS. Režiju spota je radio ANTE DEKOVIĆ ,koji inače radi u Hollywoodu specijalne efekte za veće filmske produkcije, te studenski filmski team iz Aachena.

Last week our Turbo-Trash-Pop-Ladies LAS BALKANIERAS did shoot a video for their Dubstep-interpretation of the Russian folk classic “Kalinka”. As usual it was a lighning-speed-head-over-heels-adventure with a professional result. Director of the clip is ANTE DEKOVIĆ, brother of BALKANIERA MEDITERANOVIĆ and special-effects-engineer in Hollywood/California. Amongst other locations the video was done at Croatia’s No.1 Marina “Frappa” and features Philippinian dancing-group “MTB”…

The Plot of the video is an alternative interpretation of the Greek mythology where the so-called Sirenes spread on rocks – with their singing and pretty looks – attract poor sailors. Only to crush them out after without remorse…

In other words the clip is another approach of the ancient topic man vs. woman – of course here the LAS BALKANIERAS-way!

U svjetlu približavanja deseto-godišnjice GERMAICA krajem ove godine određeni krugovi se zatvaraju. 6tog Maja 1989 producenti od klasičnog GERMAICA riddima “Messer Banzani” rođaci TOM i PIONEAR osnovali su prvi istočno-njemački Ska i Reggae Band ikad-također zvan “Messer Banzani” a ime kao hommage Marcu Polu.

Ovaj poznati venecijanski svjetski putnik rođen je na danas hrvatskom otoku Korčuli kao i DONNA BOSANCHERA od LAS BALKANIERAS – ženski vocal Trio i GERMAICAN najnoviji signing. Danas, 20 godina kasnije, u Julu 2009 godine ona i druge članice benda BALKANIERA MEDITERANOVIĆ i Ms. RUSSIA osvojile su nagradu za “Najboljeg Debitanta” na jednom od značajnijih hrvatskih festivala “Splitski 09” sa svojom interpretacijom od “Messer Banzani”- riddima “Ćiribiribella”! Grad festivala Split je udaljen od Korčule oko 50 milja…

Cure, koje trenutno žive u Düsseldorf/Njemačkoj uzrokovale su pomutnju donoseći dašak svježeg zraka u inače konzervativan festival. U njihovom nastupu sudjelovala je dječija plesna grupa “Sindbad” iz Šibenika, rodnog grada BALKANIERE MEDITERANOVIĆ i s time su uklopile svoje balkansko-slavenske korjene sa međunarodnom produkcijom i zvukom.

Reakcija media na dobitak nagrade na Splitskom Festivalu i na neočekivan ali uspješan nastup na memorialnom koncertu “Kontra Regula” za hrvatsku Funk legendu DINO DVORNIK bila je burna i pozitivna. Pjesma “Ćiribiribella” s festivala može se čuti na svim radio stanicama i postaje ljetni hit za LAS BALKANIERAS i nijhov debi…

Running up to the 10 year anniversary of GERMAICA later this year certain circles are closing… May 6th 1989 the producers of the classic GERMAICA riddim “Messer Banzani” – cousins TOM and PIONEAR – founded the first East German Ska & Reggae band ever – also called “Messer Banzani” – the name being a hommage to the Marco Polo times of old. This famous Venetian globe trotter was born at the now Croatian island of “Korčula” just like DONNA BOSANCHERA of LAS BALKANIERAS – a female vocal trio and GERMAICAs latest signing. Today 20 years later in July 2009 her and fellow band members BALKANIERA MEDITERANOVIĆ and Ms. RUSSIA winning the “Best Newcomer” award at Croatia’s most prolific annual song festival “Splitski ’09” with their interpretation of the “Messer Banzani” riddim called “Ćiribiribella”! The festival city Split is about 50 miles away from “Korčula”…

The ladies – currently residing in Düsseldorf/Germany – caused quiet a stir bringing a breath of fresh air to the rather conservative festival. Their performance featured Children’s Dance Group “Sindbad” from Šibenik – home town of BALKANIERA MEDITERANOVIĆ and incorporated references to their Slavic background combined with an international production and sound.

Following the award as well as a successful surprise appearance at the memorial show for Croatian Funk legend DINO DVORNIK the media response was overwhelming and the festival song “Ćiribiribela” is already being heard on all local radio stations developing into a summer hit for LAS BALKANIERAS and their debut single…
